Pharmacy automation companies, supplies and robots

Robotic automation has created a remarkable impact on every aspect of life. There is not even a single area which has not been changed dramatically due to the use of technology, automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, computers, software, and pharmacy is no exception to it.

Pharmacy Automation or medicinal robotic dispensing involves mechanical processes of handling and distributing medications. It was started in the late 60s but it was an expensive business at that time.

In the present age, the use of technology is getting cheaper and more companies are adapting to the trends because it’s now more economical to use technology than managing your organizations traditionally.  This is possible due to the low cost of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

Medicine prices increased up to 120 percent instead of DRAP approved 15 percent hike

The global pharmacy automation devices industry is growing rapidly and it is estimated that it would reach more than $ 12.00 billion by 2025.

There are few remarkable companies which are providing services in the field of robotic dispensing automation in pharmacy which includes;

  1. Pyxis Corporation:

It was founded in 1992 in the USA (San Diego) by Ronald R. Taylor. He was one of its founding members. In case of manual handling of medicine the chances of errors are always higher but when the ADC is used the chances of error reduces to a greater extent. With the help of pharmacy automation, a smarter and safer environment can be created in which the right medication can be given to the right patient and overall patient medication experience can be improved.

It is also connected with a high-speed laser printer and one can easily take a print out of any report and medication record saved in the system. The ADC can dispense the medicine with greater accuracy, increased speed, greater security and maintain all the dispensing record effectively and with no or minimum chances of error.
